11 Months Old!

Logan turned 11 months old on June 8, and he has certainly been keeping us on our toes.  As previously posted, Logan is now walking!  He gets better and faster each day, and he loves using his new skill.  As most of you know Logan is pretty tall for his age, and he can reach things I do not think he should be tall enough to get.  He can reach anything on the front half of the bathroom vanity, for example.  I have to make sure curling irons and other items I do not want him to have are pushed to the back! 

Here are some other things Logan has been up to this month:

• Talking even more, and he finally said "DaDa!"  He likes to make loud "Whooo" noises, among other things.  I love hearing his sweet voice!
• Laughing... he has been doing this for several months, but it seems to be getting more frequent.  Sometimes he even makes himself laugh!  Although, nothing can make him laugh as much as Oreo the cat.
• Still loving to be read to.  He also has a new favorite book- Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb by Al Perkins.  He loves the monkeys "drumming on drums" (for those of you who have read it!).  Short Dr. Seuss books seem to be the right length for his current attention span.
• Still having separation anxiety- particularly when we drop him off at the church nursery and parents' day out.  We are ready for those sad tears to stop coming every time we leave!
• Loving swimming and playing outside.

Everyone says it about their babies, but it is so true-- Logan is just growing up too fast!
